Purl and Plant are an all new guerrilla knitting group with a twist. We are a side project of the Glasgow Guerrilla Gardeners group so in common with the gardeners our emphasis will be on creating gardens on neglected urban space. The difference is that rather than taking a trip to our local garden centre we'll be meeting up to knit our flowers, shrubs, trees, fruit and veggies.
In addition we'll be using our yarns to take the edge off some of the harsher corners of our urban landscape -who couldn't love a concrete bollard topped with a pom pom hat?
To get started we need knitters of all abilities from complete beginners to experts everyone is welcome -the more the merrier.
Our first get together will be held in late November -details to follow.
